Design Collaboration: Arch. Michal Ziso + Industrial Designer Ruthy Shaprir
Re-purposing a medical clinic into a one-bedroom apartment in the beautiful historic neighborhood of Neve Tzedek in Tel Aviv. The goal was to create minimalistic industrial bachelor pad for a young modern doctor, while maintaining the original qualities of the space. The bedroom gallery was kept open, overlooking the high-ceiling living room, to allow the natural light and air flow. Artwork and hung lighting fixtures were placed over the dining table to optimize the vertical space. A wooden bar was added onto the balcony railing, aligned with metal stools for entertaining. The living room table and metal wall mounted shelves were costume made to top off the edgy feel of the apartment.
