The skyscraper is located in Midtown Manhattan. It is designed on an extremely narrow lot of only 50 feet (15.24 meters) which is currently the narrowest lot for a skyscraper in the city. The project uses air rights from adjacent landmark properties (the NYC Bar Association and the Hippodrome Building).
The narrow proportions of the site dictated a unique floorpan layout and structural solutions, including a "slush water tank" at the top floor for balancing natural sway caused by the building's slender proportions and distinct architecture.
